There are two types of member:
PRACTISING MEMBER
For practising financial advisers (individuals who are authorised representatives). These members must qualify with s.923A of the Corporations Act and satisfy the Board that they are genuinely independent. They must also have no association with product manufacturers.
ASSOCIATE
For non-practitioners (individuals) who wish to be associated with the Association and network with its membership. These people are lawyers, accountants, consultants, property advocates, insurance and finance brokers, and so on who have a genuine interest in promoting the objects of the company.
These are also financial advisers who are making their journey to being able to satisfy the requirements of Practising Member.
FEES FOR THE CURRENT FINANCIAL YEAR
Fees for the memberships commencing in the current financial year, excluding GST are:
- Independent Financial Adviser: $1,200
- Associate: $695
